Job Description

As the Clinical Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the planning, development, and delivery of women’s health programs. This role will require oversight of the two women’s health clinics in Frankston and Thomastown.<br>You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, community partners, and participants to ensure our services are responsive, inclusive, and high-quality. <br>The Aboriginal Women’s Health Clinic will be providing a range of services including screening, diagnosis, and management of women’s health conditions. All services provided within First Peoples’ Health and Wellbeing will be free of cost and accessible.<br>You will play a key role in supporting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, coordinating community-based health programs and services; that reflect a holistic and culturally safe approach to care. <br>This role will work in close partnership with community members, allied health workers, and external services to ensure the delivery of initiatives that promote social, emotional, physical, and cultural wellbeing for First Nations women.<br>

Essential selection criteria

·      Experience working in Women’s Health. <br>·      Demonstrated knowledge of the cultural, social, and historical determinants of health for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.<br>·      Strong experience in project management, community engagement, program coordination, health promotion, or related roles.<br>·      Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build respectful, trusting relationships with community members and partner organisations.<br>·      Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.<br>·      Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches to health and wellbeing.<br>·      Competency in program reporting, data collection, and administrative tasks<br>·      Bachelor’s degree in related Health discipline (e.g. Nursing, Psychology, Social Work)<br>·      AHPRA Registration as per health discipline<br>·      Strong clinical knowledge and demonstrated experience in health and/ or family services<br>·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to adapt style ro a range of audiences<br>

Desirable selection criteria

·      Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities, with a commitment to culturally safe practice.<br>·      Experience in undertaking health assessments, care plans and cycles of care<br>·      Knowledge of local services<br>·      Policy and guideline writing experience<br>Experience in staff supervision<br>
