Residential In-Reach (RIR) is a non-admitted service to decrease avoidable presentations to Emergency Departments from Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF). RIR provides care, consultation, referral, education and support.

The patient remains under the clinical governance of the General Practitioner at all times. A GP can invite the Residential In-Reach staff to see their patient.
