The Neuro-ophthalmology Clinic can assist in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of conditions that involves visual dysfunction because of neurological conditions.

The clinic is staffed by three academic neuro-ophthalmologists, two neuro-ophthalmology fellows, a Nurse Consultant and a team of orthoptists. We have accessed to advanced technology such as Automated perimetry, high-resolution retinal photography and Optical coherence tomography (OCT). There are several other investigator-initiated studies looking into IIH and myasthenia. Our newly established Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) clinic is staffed with an endocrinologist and a dietitian.

Common conditions looked after in this clinic include:

- Optic neuritis, optic neuropathies
- Idiopathic intracranial hypertension
- Papilloedema, papillitis, neuroretinitis
- Cranial neuropathies
- Unexplained progressive visual loss without an apparent ophthalmological cause
- Binocular diplopia
- Nystagmus and unusual eye movements
- Orbital inflammatory conditions such as Tolosa-Hunt, pseudo tumour orbit, thyroid eye disease
- Ocular myasthenia gravis
- Visual field problems after brain tumours or stroke, including driving assessments
- Amaurosis fugax
- Botox treatment for blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm
