Key findings from our 2023 Stakeholder Engagement Survey

February 22, 2024

South Eastern Melbourne PHN (SEMPHN) is committed to listening to and learning from you so that together, we can help people in south east Melbourne live their healthiest lives.

At the end of last year, we asked you to complete an online survey to better understand how you engage with, experience and rate SEMPHN staff and services.

We received 485 responses to the survey from a range of sectors including general practice, community health, pharmacy, allied health, hospital, government, research and aged care.

Thanks to you (and our promise to donate $2 for every survey response we received) – we  donated $970 to WAYSS to assist people experiencing homelessness or family violence in south east Melbourne.

Key findings:

  • 81% understand SEMPHN services
  • 67% agree that SEMPHN is an important partner for your organisation
  • 60% agree that SEMPHN’s services and support help your organisation to deliver better quality health services
  • You are most likely to engage with SEMPHN services via 1) Commissioning 2) Education, Training or Events 3) General Practice Support 4) Data and Reporting 5) Communications
  • The top priority populations you think SEMPHN should prioritise are: people with mental illness, people with multiple chronic diseases, people at risk of/experiencing homelessness, and older people.

Our next steps involve unpacking the findings to understand where we can deliver the greatest value to you. This is the first year of our five year ‘Path to Impact’ Strategy, and we are excited to continue learning and partnering with you to create opportunities for people in south east Melbourne to live their healthiest lives.
