Job Description

- Meeting and greeting patients<br>- Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment diary.<br>- Answering telephone queries for bookings, patient results and general patient queries.<br>- Processing payments (EFTPOS, HICAPS, Medicare, Work Cover/TAC) and follow-up of unpaid accounts.<br>- Maintain client database and demographic details (excellent attention to detail a must).<br>- Provide administrative support to management, medical and nursing employees.<br>- Managing incoming and outgoing referrals and correspondence.<br>- Adhere to patient privacy and confidentiality legislation.<br>- Ensure reception and waiting room is presentable and tidy, maintaining infection prevention & control protocols.<br>- Commitment to ongoing training.<br>- Undertake all duties in a diligent manner with honesty and integrity.<br>

Essential selection criteria

- Medical admin: 1 year (Required);<br>- Working with Children Check (Required);<br>- Experience in Medical Practice Administration and Customer Service;<br>- Computer literacy;<br>- Ability to prioritise, organize and perform numerous tasks<br>- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;<br>- Flexibility to meet the operating hours of the Practice.<br><br>

Desirable selection criteria

- High level computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook), experience with Best Practice patient-management software preferred<br>- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)<br>- Patient Access Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)<br>- Professional presentation, well developed communication skills, strong attention to detail and a passion for patient care are the keys to success in this role.<br>- The ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team environment.<br><br>
