Job Description

The role offers flexible hours to suit work–life balance, with strong support from an experienced reception and clinical team. Essential selection criteria

- Demonstrated experience in general practice or healthcare management in Australia<br>- Strong knowledge of Medicare billing, MBS, DVS, and Practice Incentives Program (PIP) requirements<br>- Understanding of accreditation standards (AGPAL or GPA) and compliance processes<br>- Experience with medical software such as Best Practice or Medical Director<br>- Ability to manage rostering, payroll coordination, and daily practice operations<br>- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills<br>- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of professionalism<br>- Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous quality improvement<br><br>

Desirable selection criteria

- Proven experience in general practice <br>- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, support, and motivate staff<br>- Sound knowledge of Medicare billing, Practice Incentives Program (PIP), and Australian general practice compliance requirements<br>- Experience with medical software (e.g., Best Practice, Medical Director)<br>- High-level communication and interpersonal skills<br>- Ability to manage rostering, payroll coordination, and day-to-day operations efficiently<br>- Financial management skills including budgeting, reporting, and KPI monitoring<br>- Ability to work independently and contribute to practice growth and development<br>- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach<br><br>

Our well-established GP medical centre is located in South East Melbourne, providing high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse and growing community. The practice is modern, fully computerised, and equipped with Best Practice software, secure online booking, and electronic billing systems.<br><br>The clinic features multiple consulting rooms, a fully equipped treatment room, and a comfortable reception and waiting area. We offer a supportive team environment with experienced GPs, nursing staff, and administrative support working collaboratively.<br>The practice continues to grow, offering an excellent opportunity for a Practice Manager to contribute to further development and operational improvement in a friendly, professional setting
