2026 Stakeholder Survey shows improving stakeholder experience

September 30, 2026

SEMPHN's 2026 Stakeholder Survey has found stakeholder experience improved across almost every measure, with stakeholders continuing to identify responsive staff, practical support and collaborative relationships as key strengths.

The annual survey provides an important opportunity for SEMPHN to better understand stakeholder experiences, identify areas of strength and inform ongoing improvement efforts across the organisation. Feedback was collected through the annual survey and at several stakeholder events throughout the year.

Key findings from the 2026 survey include:

  • 88% of respondents agree their SEMPHN contacts are courteous and respectful.
  • 75% view SEMPHN as an important partner for their organisation.
  • 73% agree SEMPHN strives for excellence in health care delivery.
  • 64% agree SEMPHN listens to its stakeholders, representing a 10 percentage point increase from 2025.

The survey also highlighted what stakeholders value most in their interactions with SEMPHN, including accessible and responsive staff, practical support and guidance, and strong collaborative relationships.

Areas for continued focus

While the results are encouraging, the survey also identified opportunities for SEMPHN to continue strengthening its work. Stakeholders highlighted the importance of demonstrating the impact of SEMPHN's activities, strengthening coordination around local needs, providing practical data and insights, and continuing to understand the experiences of stakeholder groups where results are less positive.

These insights will be considered alongside existing stakeholder engagement priorities and other sources of feedback to inform future planning, engagement activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Listening beyond the survey

The annual Stakeholder Survey is one of a number of ways SEMPHN gathers feedback from the people and organisations it works with across south east Melbourne. Survey findings will contribute to ongoing efforts to strengthen stakeholder engagement, inform organisational planning and ensure SEMPHN's work continues to respond to local needs and priorities.

Supporting the community

As part of this year's survey, SEMPHN committed to making a donation to Foodbank Victoria based on stakeholder participation. As a result, $1,340 was donated, helping provide the equivalent of approximately 2,680 meals for people experiencing food insecurity across Victoria.
