Alfred Post COVID Service

The Post COVID Service is a multidisciplinary service for adults who are experiencing ongoing symptoms after a COVID-19 infection.

Care includes:

  • A comprehensive assessment of the patient’s symptoms and treatment goals.
  • Multidisciplinary team review as indicated including medical, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and neuropsychology.
  • Referral back to the patient’s GP following completion of the patient’s input through the service.

What to expect:

Once a patient’s referral has been accepted, they can expect the following:

They will complete initial questionnaire outcome measures prior to their initial appointment.

A telephone consultation to gain more understanding about their symptoms, introduce management strategies and referrals to relevant multidisciplinary team members.

Individual or group appointments with relevant medical and allied health clinicians to address the patient’s specific needs and goals.

Eligibility criteria: For patients to be eligible for the program, they must:

  • Be aged 18 years or older
  • Have a confirmed history of SARS COV-2 infection
  • Have had long COVID symptoms for 3 months post infection
  • Live in Victoria

Please note that the Alfred are currently accepting referrals from medical professionals, and other healthcare practitioners.
