**Key Duties and Responsibilities**<br><br>The successful applicant's duties will include:<br><br>\- Providing high-quality nursing care within the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse;<br>\- Assisting General Practitioners with patient consultations, examinations and clinical procedures;<br>\- Performing treatment-room duties and assisting with clinical procedures;<br>\- Undertaking wound assessment, dressing and ongoing wound management;<br>\- Assisting with immunisations and vaccinations within the nurse's authorised scope of practice;<br>\- Performing ECGs and other appropriate basic clinical assessments;<br>\- Assisting General Practitioners with patient health assessments and chronic disease management;<br>\- Supporting infection prevention and control procedures and maintaining appropriate clinical standards;<br>\- Maintaining accurate, timely and confidential clinical documentation and patient records;<br>\- Providing patient education and health-promotion information;<br>\- Monitoring patients and reporting relevant changes or clinical concerns to the supervising Registered Nurse and/or General Practitioner;<br>\- Assisting with the efficient day-to-day operation of the treatment room;<br>\- Maintaining patient privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times; and<br>\- Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, administrative staff and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.<br>

Essential selection criteria

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**<br><br>To be considered for this position, applicants must have:<br><br>\- A Diploma of Nursing or an equivalent recognised nursing qualification;<br>\- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia through AHPRA;<br>\- Appropriate clinical knowledge and skills to practise safely as an Enrolled Nurse;<br>\- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;<br>\- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team;<br>\- Good organisational and time-management skills;<br>\- Commitment to patient-centred care and maintaining high professional and clinical standards; and<br>\- Ability to maintain accurate clinical records and patient confidentiality.<br><br>Previous experience in general practice or primary care will be highly regarded. However, Enrolled Nurses with relevant clinical experience and a strong interest in developing their career in primary care are encouraged to apply.<br>

Desirable selection criteria

Desirable Attributes<br>· Previous experience working as a practice nurse in an general-practice or outpatient services environment.<br>· Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.<br>· Experience assisting with minor surgical or skin procedures.<br>· Experience using electronic patient-record and practice-management systems.<br>· Experience coordinating recalls, health assessments and chronic disease care plans.<br>
