Job Description

Location – Frankston and/or Thomastown <br>6-Month Fixed Term Position, with possibility to extend subject to funding  <br>Part Time - Either 1 day/fortnight at Frankston, or 1 day/week if covering Frankston and Thomastown.<br>

Essential selection criteria

- AHPRA-registered Physiotherapist with postgraduate qualifications or advanced training in Women's Health Physiotherapy. <br>- Minimum 7 years’ experience, with demonstrated competence in pelvic health, antenatal/postnatal Physiotherapy and chronic pain. <br>- Demonstrated experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting. <br>- Commitment to culturally safe and trauma-informed care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. <br>- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. <br>- Understanding of social determinants of health and how they impact Aboriginal communities. <br>- Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient and practice information. <br>- Excellent computer literacy skills and time management skills <br><br>

Desirable selection criteria

- Experience working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled setting or with Aboriginal clients. <br>- Experience in group facilitation and community health education. <br>- Member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and/or relevant special interest groups. <br>- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.  <br>
