[CLOSED] Applications closing soon: Victorian Jewish Community Wellbeing Grant

July 7, 2026

Applications are closing soon for South Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network’s (SEMPHN) Victorian Jewish Community Wellbeing Grant and the eligibility criteria have been updated.

Key dates

Question period closes: 11:59pm (AEST) Thursday 2 July 2026

Applications close: 11:59pm (AEST) Monday 13 July 2026 (deadline extended)

As part of the Bondi Support initiative, SEMPHN is offering one-off grants to support activities that build the Victorian Jewish community's resilience, wellbeing, and social cohesion. It responds to the impacts of the Bondi Beach attack and antisemitism on the Victorian Jewish community.

Eligibility

This grant is only eligible to:

  • Victorian Jewish community organisations or
  • organisations that can partner with a Victorian Jewish community organisation that will act as the partnership’s lead.

Update:  Please note organisations already receiving funding from the Australian Government’s Bondi Mental Health Support Package are eligible to apply where the proposed activity:

  • is not a duplication of existing services already being delivered in the proposed primary activity location(s) in Victoria and
  • is designed to address identified gaps and unmet needs.

Top 3 questions answered

Can organisations that were not involved in the consultation process apply?

Yes. Being involved or not involved as part of the consultation process does not automatically include or exclude organisations. Organisations can submit an application if eligibility criteria are met. All submissions will be assessed on merit.

My organisation only meets some of the criteria set out in the Minimum Governance Schedule. Can I still apply?

Applicants must meet all criteria outlined in the Minimum Governance Schedule at the time of application. Please refer to the full Minimum Governance Schedule included in the grant application (Section A) to ensure all requirements are met prior to submitting your application.

Can eligible organisations partner with or subcontract other organisations for activities through this grant?

Yes. The lead applicant must meet all eligibility requirements, including the Minimum Governance Schedule. However, an eligible applicant may partner with or subcontract other organisations (including organisations that would not be eligible to apply as the lead applicant) where this supports delivery of the proposed activity. Applicants should ensure any partnership arrangements align with the scope and objectives of the grant and do not duplicate existing funded services.
