Free quality use of medicines education for general practice

June 15, 2026

South Eastern Melbourne PHN, in partnership with Monash University and the Quality Use of Medicines Alliance, is supporting the promotion of free quality use of medicines education for general practice.

The education is available through the Quality Use of Medicines Hub (QHUB), a dedicated Medcast-hosted platform that provides health professionals with free access to high-quality, evidence-based learning activities and resources.

QHUB has been developed to help enhance clinical skills, support conversations with patients and improve patient outcomes. It includes flexible learning opportunities and practical tools that can be used within your general practice setting.

Through QHUB, your practice can access:

  • whole-of-practice educational visits
  • online learning modules
  • mini-audits
  • webinars, podcasts and blogs
  • downloadable point-of-care resources, including clinical guides, decision aids, conversation starters and care plans.

These resources may also support whole-of-practice quality improvement activities.

New topic-specific content will be available from July.

GPs who create a free Medcast account can claim RACGP CPD hours for most activities.

How to access the QHUB

Create a Medcast account here. Or if you already have an account, simply log in here.
