Free education: Improve your understanding of appropriate use of antidepressant in young people

General Practitioners in the South Eastern Melbourne catchment can take advantage of a new Australian Government-funded education program supporting the appropriate use of antidepressants and strengthen engagement with young patients aged 13–24.

The program comprises resources developed by the Quality Use of Medicines Alliance and are designed to enhance clinical capability, support effective communication and improve outcomes for young people.

The following support tools are available:

  • Whole-of-practice educational visits. Delivered virtually by a clinical facilitator, these sessions provide a practical overview of the latest evidence and can be tailored to your team’s needs
  • Shared decision-making tool
  • Clinical guide
  • On-demand webinars
  • Mini audits
  • Clinical articles

The resources are free and include CPD-accredited activities.
