Have you heard about our COVID-19 pop-up clinics?

Pop-up clinics for COVID-19 in south east Melbourne are making it easier for people to get vaccinated.

The pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics help to boost vaccination rates and provide more protection against the virus. The clinics offer convenient access to vaccines and also give people the chance to ask questions and feel at ease before getting vaccinated.

The following are some highlights from the ongoing program:

Shawlands Caravan Park (25 May 2023)

EACH’s Community Connectors program delivered a pop-up event for residents at Shawlands Caravan Park, including legal services, outreach, mental health services, BBQ and second-hand clothes. The Cove Family Medical Centre provided COVID-19 vaccinations. 

Frankston Ambassador (29 May 2023)

Peninsula Health’s Community Connectors program held a pop-up event at Frankston Ambassador. The event included a coffee van, pizza, mental health services, legal services, and outreach workers. Ripponlea Medical provided COVID-19 vaccinations. 

Merinda Park Learning and Community Centre (21 June 2023)

SEMPHN was invited to provide COVID-19 vaccinations for local members of the community. Many of the community centres are from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds. The centre was holding its adult English classes and computer skills on the day of the pop-up clinic. Ripponlea Medical provided COVID-19 vaccinations. 

Refugee Week (23 June 2023)

The City of Greater Dandenong held a community event to celebrate Refugee Week. The event included refugee health services, legal services, and a range of other community refugee organisations. Staff from the City of Greater Dandenong were distributing free masks, sanitiser and RATs in front of the vaccination room and promoting opportunistic vaccinations. Ripponlea Medical provided COVID-19 vaccinations. 

Greater Dandenong Immunisation Session (27 June & 25 July 2023)

The immunisation team from the City of Greater Dandenong invited SEMPHN to provide COVID-19 vaccinations alongside their catch-up refugee and childhood immunisations. The Cove Family Medical Centre provided COVID-19 vaccinations.

Tooradin Caravan Park (25 July 2023)

Snowfest (30 July)

The Emergency Management team from the City of Greater Dandenong invited SEMPHN to provide COVID-19 vaccinations at the Snowfest event in Springvale. The Cove Family Medical Centre provided COVID vaccinations.
