Update: GP Respiratory Clinics

February 9, 2023

Federally-funded GP Respiratory Clinics (GPRCs) are closing on 28 February 2023. These clinics will be replaced by the 'GPRC Panel'.

GPRCs give patients access to face-to-face assessment of respiratory symptoms (including COVID-19), testing and immediate treatment close to where they live.

The following federally-funded GP Respiratory Clinics (GPRCs) are closing on 28 February 2023:

  • Carrum Downs Respiratory Clinic
  • Prahran Respiratory Clinic
  • Rosebud Respiratory Clinic

SEMPHN thanks these GPRCs for playing a crucial role in supporting local primary health services and easing the pressure off emergency departments by providing support to people with mild respiratory symptoms.

From 1 March 2023, Federally-funded GPRCs will be replaced by the 'GPRC Panel’, which will be activated in cases of COVID surge.
