Improved access to multicultural services and support in Casey and Greater Dandenong

February 13, 2026

South Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network (SEMPHN) is pleased to announce the successful general practices in the delivery of the Multicultural Access Program across the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Casey and Greater Dandenong.

Congratulations to the following general practices:

  • Dandenong West Medical Centre
  • Duff Street Medical Centre
  • Keys Medical Centre
  • Casey Gate Medical Centre
  • Doveton Medical Centre
  • Noble Medical Centre
  • Shalimar House Medical Centre
  • Botanic Ridge Doctors
  • Stud Road Medical Centre
  • Cranbourne West Medical Centre
  • Dandenong Village Medical Centre
  • Goldcare Medical Centre

The Multicultural Access Program, which forms part of the After-Hours Program, aims to strengthen access, experience and health outcomes for multicultural communities.

Each of the twelve selected general practices will design and implement the program in a manner that best aligns with the specific needs of the communities they serve, ensuring that service delivery is tailored, responsive, and culturally appropriate.

SEMPHN's December 2023 Health Needs Assessment identified Casey and Greater Dandenong LGAs as priority areas due to high concentrations of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) populations. The initiative focuses particularly on at-risk asylum seekers, refugees, humanitarian entrants, and high-need CALD new arrivals across the Casey and Greater Dandenong regions.

The program is funded until 30 June 2026
